To sum up: JEDWARD VS LUCIE. GUESS WHAT SIMON CHOSE?

THE WRONG ONE.

GAAAHHHH. *HATE*

Sam Gore: "The Judges are being very inconsisent this year. One minute they say it's about entertainment, then the vocals, then likability. Perhaps when the judges decide what competiton this is, then the public will know how to vote."

Yeah, that's completely what I did :@ I don't know if you watched Xtra Factor (which I've never done before) but one of the callers on that said, "Once we know what we're voting for, then maybe we'll vote for the right one." RIGHT ON.

Yeah. Lucie and Jedward were in the bottom two. Everyone KNEW Jedward were finally finally going whoop whoop. Louis voted for the twins, Dannii for Lucie (without even giving a reason, lols), Cheryl for Lucie, and then Simon. Well, Simon has always said he hated the twins, so they were definitely going. But then FOR SOME INSANE REASON he takes it to Deadlock. And then Lucie cries. She's a better singer than them but not necessarily more popular. And she's out. Dannii clearly resents the boys, everyone goes "WHAT! WHAT. THE. FUCK. SIMON?" and then comes the hate for both Simon and the twins. Grrr.

Yeah, just a little catch up there. I don't know if you watch it, but it's going to be *everywhere* this week.

No. It's about RATINGS.

(And now the show has had a carefully and engineered boost of free publicity and more people will tune in to the next show so they can share in the outrage at The Man With His Belt Under His Armpits.)

Yeah, it is about that. I was thinking it was a talent show but I guess I was COMPLETELY WRONG. I mean, this is SIMON COWELL we're talking about. Simon POUND SIGN Cowell.

Will more people watch it though? Lots of people have realised it's all about the ratings and are planning to protest and boycott and whatever. I don't think it'll be that successful, but I'm interested what it'll do at least.

Haha, man with the... lol. I did read that the main show had some high viewing figures, but the Xtra Factor little spin-off show thing had the highest viewing figures it's ever had, I think because people wanted to "share in the outrage". Still, *sigh*

Well, you know my feelings about this sort of TV already from my own pages ;P

You have to hand it to SC, he really knows how to play the public - bless his wee cotton trooosers.

And yet you mention Simon Cowell in your latest post? :P

He does. I think he's a justified judge but when he's wearing his pound sign goggles, one might think he's evil (or some lesser value thereof).

(I don't know how to use 'thereof' but I wanted to use it, so I have.)

(I think both of those things might also have been very obvious.)

The Simon Cowell bit was for your benefit, G ;)

I wonder, does a man like that ever actually remove said goggles?
The guy makes his living from exploiting other peoples' talents, so I would presume he's constantly got his eye on where the profit is.

(btw, perfectly passable use of 'thereof', I think).

Ah, it did seem a bit out of place, hahaha. I think judging is what he does best, but he's still really annoyed me, like a lot of the nation.

I wouldda thought he'd have to remove the goggles. I mean, he's got to, right? :S Or maybe *that's* why we never see the goggle marks?

Oh, well, you learn something new everyday. Today I used "thereof" correctly. It's a good feeling, haha.

I don't even have words for how pissed off I am about this! I liked Lucie, she was one of my favourites. I hate the twins and I think keeping them in is damaging, not only to the show's reputation (which I think is falling to shreds quite quickly anyway - I don't think it's going to survive much longer after this series), but to them. They're incredibly arrogant and they're not good singers, and saving them over people who can sing is ridiculous. Yes, they have the potential to be good entertainers, so kick them out, let them go away, get some singing lessons, and learn a bit of humility and maybe they can come back in the future. They need to learn that they're not that great, and keeping them in is making them think that they are, and their arrogance won't serve them well in the future.

And just, wtf Simon. You hated them. You wanted them out. You said you'd leave the country if they won! Why didn't you get rid when you had the chance?!

Oh, apparently I did have words!

I know! I wasn't big on the X Factor last year, but this year I've got caught up in it. Those twins have annoyed me EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. and when it was between them and Lucie I was laughing myself to the shop. For Simon to turn around and do that... well, I'm just insensed, if that's even a word. It might be the best bet financially, but in terms of respect and entertainment - DECENT entertainment - then it's a massive massive FAIL.

Yes, they have the potential to be good entertainers, so kick them out, let them go away, get some singing lessons, and learn a bit of humility and maybe they can come back in the future.
Yeah, this. This this this.

I don't understand how someone who has made his opinion so clear, voted against them every night, has had such a sudden change of heart. And I don't believe a word of "surprised". He was as "surprised" as an Eastender at a shock death over Christmas.

Hahah, I lol'ed. Some great ones too! :P
