ROBBIE

I'm watching 'We Robbie: Top 20' songs on 4music. People seem to be gearing up for his comeback, and there's a sort of air (as much as there can be across the media) of worry over what that comeback will be like.

For me, Robbie was never not going to stop being a star. He's one of those rare things - a natural born entertainer - even in this age of celebrity. Take That are back and doing brilliantly, but as a fan a both, they know have very different audiences and styles, and it'll just be the bands feeling which steps on old ground. Take That produce beautiful melodic rooftop sounds that seem to sing right to you, and Robbie can put his voice to a plethora of genres; his jazz sound is something that needs to be heard, even if you're not a fan of the guy.

I'm excited about his new material, and chuffed he's back doing his thing, and I hope I'm not alone in 'never forget'ting his star status. He'll be back where he belongs - in the limelight - before we know it. And that's where he's meant to be.

ETA: I just found Take That Slash :S. Internet, sometimes I hate you.

b... bu.. but how? I just don't see them as shippable.

I'm not gonna bite your head off or anything, I'm just interested. Can you tell me more, if there is more?

Not really OTP or anything, I just feel wierdly protective of Robbie because he's a Stoke boy and he's so damaged so I like the idea of someone sweet who is good friends with him taking care of him. It's a thing.

Also, troofax - Robbie Williams comes from my home-town and went to the same high school as my cousins.

Awesome :D Does the school have a little shrine to him? Or, you know, something less scary?

Just out of interest, where is he from?

Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent. He went to Saint Margaret Ward's in Chell. They're very Catholic so no shrines to him, but he did invest a lot of money in their music department which was nice of him.

That is very nice, and what every big famous person should do - thank their school :)

I'm pleased he's back. It's a little bit less dull with him around.

I agree :) I just think he's made for the stage, and there aren't that many people like that around.

I know, I don't either. It seems to be some sort of instinct for people on the internet to want to slash anything and everything :/ I know it's Rule 34, but is nothing sacred?? :(

(The thing that I really don't like is QI slash. Despite the jokes they make, it all just seems so innocent, and completely unslashable. And don't even get me started on Strictly Come Dancing on LJ... *shudder*)

I read a couple of Button fics because they do or did ;P have chemistry but a lot of it was just smut, and nothing about their chemistry at all, which I think is the best bit. I haven't been there in a long long while though D:

I never get like that at all maybe because I'm an innocent 14 year old :P
YEAH DAMN RIGHT!

My Mam adore's QI; if only she knew about their slash fics :L pahaha ;)
I'd rather you didn't get started on that issue!

I've read a few chemistry Button's.
They were OK but to me the fandom is Craig/JP not Guy/James but the others who are a lot older than me and even you think Button is the best thing in the whole entire world! And thats fine for them but for me; Real Life slash just isn't my cuppa.
And for the record: me and mam have phobia's of buttons so they name does nothing for me!

And sorry for this lengthy comment! :D

Innocent 14-year old, riiiiiight... :P

I love QI too, but I just can't imagine why people would want to slash it all... ew. So yeah, I won't go into it, lol.

There was one I read, that was really good actually, but then, it just went straight to the smut and I stopped, because that really got my goat. And I totally agree with your view! :D Otherwise things get out of hand and sometimes really weird. *high five* RLS big no no, hell yeah.

Ahh, see, I used to love buttons as a kid, all shiny and different shapes and stuff. Do you know why you are scared of them?

I LOVE LONG COMMENTS. THEY MAKE ME :D
