"I left him, sobbing into a cage of scorpions - which aren't insects so I don't know what they were doing there - and moved on to Laura from Sloths.

LAURA: I can't stop to talk, I'm sorry, they're going absolutely beserk! Daniel put that down! They're always like this after a shift. Mandolyn, stop chasing Andrew! It's just... they're out there for 8 hours, just hanging from their toes and doing nothing, so of course, they want to let off steam. Eddie put that down! Kathryn leave him alone! Felicity will you please stop juggling! What did you want anyway?

FINNEMORE: I was just going to inquire-

LAURA: Jonathan don't you run away! Don't you dare! OK I'm sorry, look I've really got to go and catch him, I'm so sorry!

[Sound of motorbike riding into distance]

FINNEMORE: Well you're not going to catch him now he's gone on that motorbike...

LAURA: No... No I realize that. I don't know why we gave them motorbikes... It's political correctness gone mad!

FINNEMORE: What's it got to do with political correctness?

LAURA: Well, nothing! That's the point! That's why it's gone mad! Normally when people say political correctness gone mad, what they mean is "political correctness I don't agree with". But in this case, political correctness... has given some sloths a motorbike. I mean, it has actually gone mad.

I left her chasing her sloths and stumbled away into the drizzle of the evening. I seemed no further forward then when I had begun, but one of them must be the mole..."

I used to listen to Absolute Radio a lot in first year. After Capital FM went, it was the next best thing. One of my new housemates has talked about it a lot, about how awesome it is.

I had my radio on last night to make sure I got the switchover to Not British Summer Time. I put it on the Absolute, just so it wouldn't be too painful on my sleepy ears.

That reminded me how awesome radio is, and now I know how awesome Absolute Radio is. Its just played One Day Like This (Elbow), and then Fleetwood Mac, and then Sweet Disposition. That short list contains TWO of my tingly songs. I think this is love.

I've just heard an advert on the radio, that used Feeder's "Feeling A Moment". Whenever that song is used in anything, I get shivers (as long as it's used well. See this DW fanvid for what I mean.)

But alas.

It's used for an advert for a new television show. Presented by Noel Edmonds.

NOEL EDMONDS.

Someone, somewhere, do something. The world needs saving. Please.

This morning on our way to work, the folks of BBC Radio 2 were talking about The Beatles, about how the latest research has found that their songs help people to recall memories they wouldn't have been able to without listening to the music.

When you think about it, isn't that what music in general is all about? Not just hearing something, but feeling something too? Isn't this why humans have made music for centuries?

In conclusion: Beatles, Schmeatles.

Do any of you know how I can rip this (the acoustic of 'Two Doors Down') from the website? Either with the video or without...  :S

ETA: Or you could rip the 'listen again', which is here.
