Is it a meme?

(bar Questions 8,16 and 19).
1. Nice and easy to start - what was your favourite episode and why?
This is not nice and easy! Blink wins from pure Moffat Genius, and for being one of the scariest episodes ever. But Utopia had Jack and Teh Simm!Master and all sorts of
2. Which episode was your least favourite?
LOTTL wins, or rather loses here I think. There was a massive set up for it: 2 fun-filled squeeful episodes for it. Fans the world over were exploding from the Tension. I know I was. But when it came to it, it tried to hard, it was melodramatic and over-rubbish, and That reveal was just stupid...
3. Avoid all the spoilers this year? If so, what moment gave you your biggest squeal of surprise?
The Radio Times clearly has a lot of splaining to do. It screwed up big time. As much as I love it, it made part one of the Dalek thing a bit of a waste of time. So I didn't avoid all the spoilers this year.
Still, my biggest squeal had to be about the FoB, but that wasn't a good one. The biggest positive squeal of surprise was probably the Watch in Utopia. I know there were a helluva lot of flashbacks to get to it, but it soooo worked :D
4. And which bit let you down most?
Minus the RT thing I've already mentioned, the biggest unsquealable thing was the ending of the LOTTL. I know the Doctor wins at stuff quite often, but wt? But saying his name? I didn't know it was possible to have that much of a God-complex!
5. There’s been some pretty ripe science amidst the sci-fi this year - but name the one bit of pseudo-technobollocks that deserves the RTD award for bullshit logic.
The living sun? Alternatively, see Q4.
6. Two years in and la Tennant is the longest running Doctor since 1989. Love him or loathe him, which was your most huggable David moment this season?
His "woo, CAKE!" thing made me squee with joy, but that was off-set, so I'm not sure that counts. In the series, it's possibly that excited "Let's go and explore" from Utopia face or something from Blink, with the timey-wimey detector that goes "ding!" or "well, four things. and a lizard". Lizards, like Monkeys, make me laugh. I can't explain it. They just do.
7. And just in case you think I’m getting too soft, which Tenth Doctor bit of mockney, over-enunciating shtick had you most wanting to punch his lights out?
What's the opposite of "grew"? As in "Ten grew on me this year" because he didn't. I liked him in S2, he was exciteable yet knowledgable, and there was hintage at wearisome travelling and a deeper darker side. This year, though, it's all been a bit extreme. I like the ending of the Family of Blood, but it just didn't seem right, not something that Ten would do. But the most annoying thing has to be the "cos I'm brilliant!!" You may be good, but telling yourself that and everyone else several times has to be irritating.
8. What did you think of this years Team TARDIS?
I heart them lots and lots. Hottest Team TARDIS evar. Why did it have to end?? *sobs*
9. Our Russell, who art in Cardiff…Davies be thy name. But has this last year left you feeling that RTD is still the show’s saviour…or just a false prophet?
I think after the rubbish that was LOTTL he deserves a bit of a slap, but kudos for reinventing the wheel. After all, I wouldn't know to slap anyone if RTD had not done this stuff that deserves a bit of a slapping.
He knows how to work an audience, he knows what they want, but he sure as hell cannot write a conclusion. Or yknow, a finale. why, yes, I am still bitter.
10. And should - as rumour persists - next year see him jump ship, who should be approached to take over the reins?
Sir Moff to reign please? kthnxbai.
11. Speaking of next year, if/when Tennant quits, who would you like to see replace him?
erm, J-Lo would be an *interesting* replacement. Ha Ha!
12. And while we’re still in 2008, who do you reckon ol’ Rusty’s got in mind for next year’s ‘Big Bad’?
13. Safe to say the Daleks will probably be in there somewhere - but would you rather they gave Season 4 a miss?
So far, it has been Dalek Overkill. I don't mind a little killing of the Daleks now and again, but to have them every flippin series is just annoying.
14. And after the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Master, what will next year’s ‘kiss to the past’ be?
There's got to more gallifrey-ness? What we saw in TSoD has surely opened a whole can of worms...
15. Back to this year - and what Season 3 moment made you most proud to be a fan?
Anybody could have watched Blink and it would still have worked. And yet it still maintained the fundamentals of DW - Time travel, creepy everyday things, confusion, even little hints to the Who fandom.
16. …and which moment, er, didn't?
Everyone knows the Daleks. and everyone also now knows what shoddyness was with Daleks In Manhattan and The Evolution of the Daleks.
17. Following Bad Wolf and Torchwood, this year gave us ‘Vote Saxon’ as the not-so subtle meme threaded throughout most episodes. But did it do it for you?
Not really. Political invasions and Alien PM's of England are all a bit Old Hat really. I like the saying Old Hat. Does anybody have one? An old hat, I mean. What counts as old? what counts as hat?
18. And whether it be a Cornell masterpiece or an RTD farrago, this season’s been resplendent with some fabulous dialogue. Which bit have you most found yourself quoting in polite company?
"Don't Blink!" It doesn't quite count as dialogue, but I've been drumming with my fingers as well. Damn that's catchy!
19. What rating would you give this years finale compared to the previous finales?
S1 = 4.5/5,
S2 = 5/5,
S3 = 2/5
20. Finally, sum up Season 3 in just five words (expletives notwithstanding).
Some brilliant episodes, others rubbish.
