Having one more series is not 'axed'. But yes, the news we've all been waiting for: Big Brother's 11th series will be its last.

In other tv news: the dancing couples have been released for Strictly Come Dancing, of which I am a seasonal fan. It's your usualy mix of soap stars and sports personalities with some odd individuals thrown in for variety.

Natalie Cassidy looks particularly amazing in the release photos, but has also revealed she's in it for the weight loss *sigh*

They've changed so much about the show that I loved. And I loved it because it was a bit old-fashioned like that. It was something that I could be sure of, and unlike a lot of other celebrity reality tv, it was mostly about talent and trying, rather than popularity and looks (although there were times those things were included with the votes). And what does Alesha Dixon know about dancing? Srsly.

I didn't watch last years'; I dunno if I'll watch this one. I enjoy the dancing I s'pose. And at least I'll have a tv this time :P

I know :( I feel kinda sorry that she is so focused on her weight, but I guess that's what working in TV and so becoming a celebrity does to you. Size Zero is something no-one should really aspire to be, but if you're not happy then, surely it's something else that's getting you down?

My usual method of food control is just eating and not worrying about it. I must admit I'm not the sveltest of people, but I'm not stressed about it - you're right, it's a lot better to be happy than weight-watching. I end up accidentally dancing to loads of stuff, and since we got a Wii fit I do that too sometimes :) Trampolining, also, is win :D

I don't know why they got rid of Arlene. She brought something to the show, was a character in herself, and had plenty of experience in dance. Alesha Dixon might be attractive to a younger audience, but I really don't think she can say much about dancing at all. I'm kinda worried the show's heading that way - a popularity contest like every other reality tv show *sigh* She'd be good as another presenter - maybe a web host or something, I don't know - but I don't know what she can know about dancing to judge properly. The BBC should understand that SCD is a show that a lot of people love, and realise its credit as a show that pulls in a lot of older and younger viewers, particularly those that don't watch the rest of that kind of thing. Like Natalie Cassidy, they should stop worrying and learn to love themself.
