TV news

Having one more series is not 'axed'. But yes, the news we've all been waiting for: Big Brother's 11th series will be its last.

In other tv news: the dancing couples have been released for Strictly Come Dancing, of which I am a seasonal fan. It's your usualy mix of soap stars and sports personalities with some odd individuals thrown in for variety.

Natalie Cassidy looks particularly amazing in the release photos, but has also revealed she's in it for the weight loss *sigh*

They've changed so much about the show that I loved. And I loved it because it was a bit old-fashioned like that. It was something that I could be sure of, and unlike a lot of other celebrity reality tv, it was mostly about talent and trying, rather than popularity and looks (although there were times those things were included with the votes). And what does Alesha Dixon know about dancing? Srsly.

I didn't watch last years'; I dunno if I'll watch this one. I enjoy the dancing I s'pose. And at least I'll have a tv this time :P

The (almost) end of BB is, I suppose, a positive thing.

It would be even better news if the rest of the Lowest Common Denominator, bear-baiting, car crash TV progs were being dropped too.

Ho hum...

Natalie Cassidy has only been in the mags FOR her weight-loss and nothing else. It's really not that healthy. I mean, she became size-zero and then it was revealed that it was making her unhappy. If you ask me it's better to be happy rather than worrying about your weight. I find a good jog or a workout or a trampoline session or even just dancing around my room - keeping active, makes me happy anyway. That girl ought to stop obsessing over how she looks and accept herself as she is.

And what does Alesha Dixon know about dancing? Srsly.

Exactly - she had no professional training before joining the show and Arlene Philips has a long impressive history of experience, including the choreography of shows in the West End. Just because Alesha won a series, doesn't mean she'll know anything about it. By all means, give her something to do in the show, but don't make her a judge!
