Short stories... any kind of story... it used to make a lot of sense to me, seemed simple, if not easy. And then you look at the short stories Roald Dahl wrote, or Allan Alhberg even, and how they've made the reader think things, or led them to believe something is happening when it's actually this other thing, and how they can make a reader suspend belief for the shortest of time, without any build up, and it becomes something completely amazing. It's the same thing as poetry in a way, the right words in the right order and all that, and somehow even after you've done that, it's all knitted together so tightly. THAT is the bit that doesn't make sense now; cohesion is my weak point. #whatareyouramblingaboutLaurashutup #provingapointrighthere (#hashtagsfascinateme #theyareveryaddictiveandIdontunderstand)
